Description: The product comes with a fine flexible twisted nichrome wire shaft swab with rayon bud. The swab is mounted in the light-blue bell-cap swab holder. In use, the shrouded Bell-Cap grips both the inside and outside of the transport tube to prevent accidental contact with potentially infectious parts of the swab or tube while ensuring containment of the specimen. The transport tube contains Transwab� medium without charcoal, based on Amies� formulation
Method of use: The specimen is collected from patient with the swab, using the bell-cap as a holder. The swab is inserted into the transport tube, and despatched to the laboratory after recording the patients details on the printed label.
